No one told, no one said
the secrets hidden deep
beneath my childhood bed.
Monsters and thoughts
so deep
didn’t make sense
to a little child trying to sleep.
Only my mother and father
could keep
those things below
my mattress and my sheets.
Letting me just spend the night
counting sheep.

Thinking about
remembering when
life was easy
and
very different
Was then just a step
I tread upon
to reach the sky
and
beyond?
Did I obtained
my desires
or
should I sit back,
sit down
and
begin again?

He died today
But really
Tomorrow.
We said goodbye
With such
Great sorrow.
No heart could
Break
As much as ours.
We sobbed and sobbed
We knew there would be
No tomorrow.

Time passes
Taking no regard for
The rest.
Holding close, pushing aside
All things
I love, despise.
In tomorrow
The world may change
Leaving everything
Just the same.

The ground shifting beneath your feet
The sky
The sky radiating a crimson light?
Have you seen
Have you seen this beauty bright?
