When I Look Outside

When I look outside
My heart does beat
The pressure rise
A world there where all
That breathe must survive.
Beauty, radiance
Seen crystal clear
Waiting for
Another bloom
To appear.
Times can be tough
Rarely an easy ride
Still all enjoy
They do survive.
This I see
When I look outside.

Such a glorious life gone
Gone yesterday.
We never met yet I know
He did so much to make my world
His world a better place to stay
Muhammad Ali died
He died yesterday.
May you soar like that butterfly
May you sting, sting just like a bee
For in my heart I see, your soul, your heart
Now rise, soar oh so gracefully
Muhammad Ali.

The Bottom Falls Out

That’s when I see
The dirty truth
That’s been hiding
From me.
I didn’t know
I couldn’t see
All that sordid, disgusting
Lying
Cheating on me.
Now I’m free
I can see
To help those in the same state
That once held
Imprisoned me.
