To be in the midst of anxiety
To dwell
Within destitution?
Makes no sense
To me.
Be free to see
Feel
The joys of happiness
The heights of ecstasy.
It’s a choice to be

Exist.
We must live
Trying
Not to harbour
But
Eliminate
Those terrible things.
Not hear, feel
Allow
Those awful

Nor the darkness in the dead of night
They will all embrace you
Lead you
With a guiding light.

the road is rough
too many bends
for me.
Will I come

gently sloping
to a valley full of fun
no sadness nor depression
so deep.

No bats fly
In the expanse that surrounds
Nor does anyone hear
The cry
They’re gone, they’re gone
I rest, I sleep
Maybe there I’ll see

Seek a world that once here
Belonged.
