The song they sing
sounds
through the valleys
echos out
to
sunny skies
Where birds
fly
stars twinkle
and
I laugh, I cry

Now grown

we’ve seen the fruition

all our planning
striving, hope
The Light
We’ll smile
that
we made it
we’ll laugh and cry
for
we are together
resting quietly
up
in the blue, blue sky.

My Seeing Eyes

I close my eyes
covering up all
I surmise
to be
awful
to
my seeing eyes
Tomorrow when
I open up
my eyes
see the beauty, the wealth
in
all the clouds
the skies
Then I’ll know
I don’t have
to
really close
my eyes
For that beauty
is
all around
whether
they are closed or open
to
these
my seeing eyes.
