Seeing armies invade, taking land
Not theirs
Hearing cries, bombs
Flashing
Deadly lights
The world reels
As despots steal countries
Not theirs
They don’t care
If lives are lost, hearts broken
Life torn apart
Seek a way to stop
This annexation of what is
Not theirs
Please God
Please show me
Show me how today.
