Do they stay

An atmosphere of anger
Or
Decay.
Everyone
Tries their best
Embracing
Joy
Happiness.
I’m no different
I don’t want
To be
Floundering
In
Indifference
Squalor, insecurity.
So
Let’s get together
Let’s join forces
We two – maybe three
Make
A difference.
Create
Heaven
Here on earth
Make it
A
Real majesty.

Wondering what I’m going to do
Travel back in time
Or make memories all anew
Finding it hard to let go
Of thoughts and judgements
I’ve had, they just stay
They won’t go.
Heart is full, heart is fine
But it must be considerate
Of those along the way I find
Never to berate
Nor say stinging things
Be good, gentle
Moderate everything.

That place

It’s filled with many thoughts
That if I hold, they’d grow
Into vast extravagances
Never thought before
Never told.

Left to decay
In the midst of rubble
Smashed
Ruined
Just the other day.
Will I get it back?
Will I feel
Love
Another time?
Another day?
My heart doesn’t know
She beats
She hopes
She prays.

Morning doves and evening grosbeaks
Ever wonder why the names they got
What they seek?
And how come blue jays cry?
While chickadees speak
Crows caw?
Truth is, that too
We don’t know why.

A long time ago

Far, far away
On this day

Valentine’s Day.
We’ve travelled
Thru life
Together
Living, loving, laughing
Maybe
A little fighting
Whatever
Life brought us
On that particular day.
Looking back
I smile and say
Life has been good
Since
Way back
When I met my love

The why.
The reason is hidden deep
In the blue
Mysterious sky.
There above, there to see
But
Not understand.
What is beyond
The moon, the stars
And
Distant galaxies.

Seeds are there, then gone
They’re out.
I’m sitting here
Watching, watching
All the goings-on
Go about.
They don’t know
I’m here
They don’t care
About my life, my goings-on.
Cause they have
Their own life to live
Like sing, find seeds
Fly about.
