Muhammad Ali died yesterday
Such a glorious life gone
Gone yesterday.
We never met yet I know
He did so much to make my world
His world a better place to stay
Muhammad Ali died
He died yesterday.
May you soar like that butterfly
May you sting, sting just like a bee
For in my heart I see, your soul, your heart
Now rise, soar oh so gracefully
Muhammad Ali.

Life begins fresh and new
Life ends sometimes
Without love renewed.
No one knows
Why or how
Life makes my life
The way it is.
Life begins and ends
And in between
My life is lived.

Another month starts today
Another path lies
Focused in some way
On the dream manifesting itself
In all waking, living things.
Gently, quietly step upon the step
That brings all you want, all you need
To the self that sings
Nature’s beauty
Daring, just to dream.

The forest blooms with flowers gorgeous
Even in the middle of a dreary night
As light casts its rays across a pond
Reflexing joy in every way.
Suddenly I see a bee buzzing
On a flower right there, in front of me
Deer drink their fill and squirrels
Rack up miles running up and down
A tree’s woody trails.
All is well
Spring has come to this land
The forest blooms
While we prepare to be in the midst of this
That is so good, so grand.

Gentle kindness needed everywhere
Fill the gap with hardy laughs
Store any gain in a open sack.
That way, you’ll be above
Beyond
All that holds you back.
Laugh, laugh
Embracing and sharing gentle kindness
Feel it here at last.

Here I sit and wait
Looking for just the thing
That’ll bring full circle round.
All the time to contemplate
Time to negotiate
Time.
Be relieved
Believe all will come
To those that wait.
Just sit
I sit and sit
Sit and wait.

My heart grows old
With stories that are told
Snuggled in a soul
That will never, ever
Grow old.

May 24th celebration has gone
used to be festivities
All day long.
Nothing, no more celebrating
Can’t understand
How could all this pass?
Used to be dancing, parties, sing-along
Fireworks and baseball
May 24th celebration, all day long.
~ Patrice

A turtle met me just today
While I was on my way
She wasn’t very cordial
Actually, awful antisocial.
Snapping, snapping
On what seemed
Her busy way.
The sun was shinning bright
On shell glistening
In the morning light.
What a time to see
A turtle there in front of me
She’s on her way
Must lay eggs today.
No time to doddle
No time to say
Good morning or good day
Must be on my way.
I met a turtle
Just today
A snapping turtle
By the way.
