Totally in the dark Absolutely unable to see
Whether the world will Come and hold me Keep me safe Or Throw me to the wolves Surrounding me
Could it be The wolves will be My saviour Surrounding, protecting me
Totally in the dark Absolutely unable to see. ~ Patrice

Patrice’s Art & Poetry Blog
Hoping to see joy in all humanity
As we transverse thru our lives
Holding each close
No tears cried
No hope denied
Just care and love in all our lives.~ Patrice

Why Have I Listened to the wind Blowing in my ear?
Why have I Tried to give back the gentleness Life has served?
Why have I Cried when a sad song Comes on?
Why have I Not always felt That I belonged?
The answers to these questions I don’t know nor can I tell For they’re written on a slate Hidden deep and very well. ~ Patrice

When things become Hectic And out of place Step back, deep breath in Move slowly At a snail’s pace.
The welcoming of plenty The loss of all things filled with empty Can sometimes overwhelm you Leaving only a place crazily Hectic. ~ Patrice

The morning sun Brightens the day Morning mists slowly Fade away As robins chirp Hunting worms all day To feed young that will soon Fly away To a land far south Where they’ll play While the morning sun Brightens the day. ~ Patrice

Rain flows, thunder roars Skies dark The world holds its breath.
A storm races through Her heartless devastation clearly shows Nature knows what she can do.
Later the skies will clear The sun will shine Birds glide on breezes Blowing softly in blue, blue skies.
All is clear The storm’s destruction Has disappeared.
Everything is calm We have weathered another storm. ~ Patrice
