The words sit silent
Waiting to take a place
On a page, part of a sentence
A paragraph
Or just fill an empty space.
Never know what they are to be
Where they’re coming from
Placed upon the page
Uttered
From a pulpit
Graced by the shinning sun.
No matter, there they come
No longer waiting
The words have found their purpose
Their place, on a page, a paragraph
A voice
Greeting the morning sun. ~ Patrice
Hummingbird safe on your journey be
Many pleasures I’ve had watching ye
Time has come and I must let it be
Trust your flight south is a safe journey
In the cool fall light you make yourself ready
Ready for that long flight
Flower to flower do you fly
Sharing pollen, drinking til dry
Maybe next summer I’ll see you again
Humming beneath flowering stems
Drinking sweet nectar alongside some bees
Enjoying the warmth and raising a family
Right now though, all I see is a hummingbird
Getting ready for that phenomenal journey
Wishing you safe, wishing you well
Make it there and please, come back as well. ~ Patrice
Note: As I finished writing this poem and rereading it out loud out on our deck, a hummingbird came up so close i could feel the air movement from her wings on the side of my head. She hovered…

9/11 will be seen As a time of horror Heartache And oh, such bravery When 9/11 angels were sent to heaven Too much hate No saving.
Buildings will dissipate But lives lost or ruined Will be remembered Then, now and for decades The reason lost on most, everyone Not known why Most of all by those who died Really, not understood by anyone.
Life should not be deemed cheap All life is sacred, revered That is my belief Say a prayer, pray for those Who lost their lives And those Who were the reason.
For if we all can see We must live together Work together, love together In peace and tranquillity Then it will be ours forever It will forever Be. ~ Patrice
I know you haven’t seen
The world I see
Know you most likely
Don’t really care.
But to me, it’s everything
It’s my world, my life
My very being
I live it everyday
I wake up wondering
What the universe
Will bring me today.
Will I laugh, will I cry
Or just be silent as I watch
This world come
Take me on a journey
You’ll never see
It’s mine
It belongs only, to me. ~ Patrice
