Harbouring frustration

Evening night.

What must be done
What should be
Left behind.
Only moving through
The day
Bringing everything
To evening
Where to rest, sleep

The essence of the world
All seems so

I wonder why
I ask the question
To the quiet presence

The why
Nor can I feel

No one says

Need inside my brain
My head.
They are out there
They have been said
Just not to me
They still do not live here
Within my body

Conspiracy comes and flows
Taking breath
Out of control
No one knows who to trust
Where safe lives
Or
Whether the world
As we know it
Will turn to dust.
Conspiracy shows
She has no mercy
Reigning ruthlessly
Laughing at despair
Smirking
At courtesy.
Conspiracy destroys
Undermines
The beauty of innocence
And
Tenderness becomes
An unimaginable crime.

I know the difference
Between frozen and tropical land
I know light is not dark
And dark is not light.
I know the difference
Between morning and evening light
The difference is obvious
They are not alike.
But the in-between is hazy
Not easy to read
A conundrum for sure
Not darkness nor light
It seems.
