St Pat’s Day
is
special
in
a multitude of ways.
The snakes left
shamrocks blew in the breeze
while
elves and fairies
did as they pleased.
All the rest danced
a jig
in the green grass
under
restless trees.

lost to me
not knowing what to say
no images seen
no goodness, no dreads
does
my pen’s tip
know.
I’ll take a deep sigh
I’ll smile
and
say
‘Maybe tomorrow
I’ll have something most exquisite to say!’

They stand their ground
So very strong
Dear
To everyone They know.
They change lives
They show kindness, love
Will grow
In places so vacant
So cold.
Tender hearts
Only
Need a chance
A chance to embrace
The lost, the hurt.
Hold them
Till they too bestow
Tender heart’s kindness
To all
All they know.

my life
always there
with me.

Slowly I see
what you do
what
you make
with no regard
for what
others think.
No you don’t
no
you do not.
You do your own thing
and
I’ll follow your example.
I’ll do everything
that
takes me on my own trail
my own path.
Maybe we’ll meet again
maybe not.
But
you showed me
my way.
By doing
what
you needed to
doing what you ought.

not
to be
the nasty one
the one
that shouldn’t be.

Peace and quiet
is
what I get
with
sounds of silence
I won’t forget.
Moving softly
beneath the sky
looking
trying my best
not to cry.
For above
and
all around me
beauty reigns
not speaking
anything.
Yet
clearly
I hear a sweet refrain
echoing, echoing
all through
this magnificent terrain.

My heart skips a beat
My mind thinks of all the things
I love about you
Oh, so sweet.
When you had to go away
My days were grim
My heart was sad

My eyes did cry.
Now again
I can hear your voice
Taste your lips and behold you
With my eyes.
My world is right
I’m loved
I’ll go thru the day
Without a sad or lonely cry.

sick
of
hate.
Maybe tomorrow
I’ll go down
to
the shore
sit and wait
for
the waves
to wash in goodness
so
pure
so great.
Never again
to
be lost
in
the wilderness
of
someone
else’s demented hate.
