Can’t see where I’m going
nor
where I’ve been
the road is rough
too many bends
for me.
Will I come
out to the open?
See the path before me
gently sloping
to a valley full of fun
no sadness nor depression
so deep.
Hopefully
this is what I’ll see
will be.

The sun shines bright
Mists have blended
Into the water beyond
No one sees bees
No bats fly
In the expanse that surrounds
Nor does anyone hear
The cry
They’re gone, they’re gone
I rest, I sleep
Maybe there I’ll see
And
Seek a world that once here
Belonged.

Some birds sing
While chimes announce
The coming of daylight
In the early morning spring.
All is right
All will be as nature
Deems it to be
Far into the quiet darkness
Of night’s fading light.

Heaven helps
heaven waits to save
comfort when you fall
when your heart sinks
and no one comes
even if you ask, you cry
you call.
Heaven stands strong
stands tall
reaching down, lifting up
saving you, giving
asking nothing back
nothing at all.

struggle to understand
the world in my world
beyond the bad.
See the goodness
believe and be glad
for tomorrow
may be better
nothing
tortured nor sad.

listen to your advice
the world seems small
within my grasp
when I follow
your quiet, beckoning call.
I may accomplish
what needs to be done
I may succeed
not unravel
become undone.
But that depends upon

things happened

those yet to be heard.
