My heart aches for the life
That could have been
The life cut short for no reason
Other than seemed a good thing
To do in the universal scheme.
My heart aches, my eyes bleed
Nothing is fair that I perceive
Maybe tomorrow sense will breathe
Understanding into all of this
Catastrophe.

Don’t tell me
I must be the same
same as you, not me.
Don’t tell me
my beating heart
doesn’t count.
Don’t tell me
my thoughts are just lies.
Don’t tell me
the tears I weep will never
bring back ones lost.
Don’t tell me this
I ask of you
I plead, I cry.

You heard me call.
You heard me speak.
Whatever happened
that
you didn’t seek?
Help
with all that’s wrong
makes you sad
makes you weep?
No help will come
If
we do not know.
No trouble solved
when
the answer isn’t seen
the question asked.
And
you sit in the midst
of what
you
just don’t know.

if you’re white or black
whether you’ve seen the sacred cow
or
any of that
that
makes us different
in
thoughts and acts
we are still human beings
we are family
joined
it seems
to live life as best we can
making
full of love for all
all
of us
humans
and
other beings.

Then you shall find
Hidden treasures
Most divine.
Where
Did they come from
When
Did they arrive?
Is the secret
The answer
You need to answer
To surmise.

Maybe
Another day
Maybe it’ll feel like forever
In the way you feel
Today.
But
Your end will come
In a moment
Or
It may have come
Yesterday.
Your purpose, your mission
Is
To live each moment
Each day
With joy and happiness.
So
When you close your eyes
For forever
You’ll smile
And
You’ll say
“That was fun
That was, a good day!”

To be the best
The best
I can be.
Let no secrets keep me
From being that one
I want
Need to be.
Let joy soar
Singing far above

Around my head.
I see what I’m capable of
All I need

Terrible things live
Exist.
We must live
Trying
Not to harbour
But
Eliminate
Those terrible things.
Not hear, feel
Allow
Those awful

my heart does ache
for ones taken
as
angels bring to heaven
these innocent people
who’ve lost
their precious lives.
What is the reason why?

I weep, we weep
We cry.
